Founded in 1883, Glass Studio Binsfeld is a distinguished workshop for glass design, stained glass windows and the restoration of historic windows.We restore previous sacral artworks from the Middle Age, the 19th century and Art Nouveau windows.
In collaboration with independant artists we create glass projects of the highest quality in our workshop. Projects in Germany, Europe,Thailand and the US are evidents of our expertise.
Our buildings carry the atmosphere of craftsmanship and expertise gained over years.
The open, light-flooded workshop space offers our team of highly qualified craftspeople (artistic glazier,glasspainter,restorer) all the requirements for the professional and preicise realization of our projects.
The latest equipment for the highly demanding glass projects or the restoration of stained glass windows is to be found on our premises.
Restoration of historic windows: Cleaning the glass surface, fixing of the painting, replacement of wrong and broken glass pieces, stabilization of the lead-netting.
Reconstruction of historic windows: We use similar glass as used in the original window including black vitreous enamel painting.
Production of new glass windows:The artist´s design is the basis for traditional or modern windows.Application of various techniques such as sandblasting, floatglass painting, air brush, fusing, glueing.

Glass dome - 400 qm - designed by J.Schwarzkopf, 400 single glass panels made of mouth blown glass from GlashütteLamberts, Waldsassen, Germany, painted with black vitreous ename, fired and connected with lead cames.
Hall window in a private villa
Art Nouveau window carried out according to historic design, with Art Nouveau glass, painted elaborately with black vitrous enamel and silver yellow, some parts in red colour. Painted glass parts are fired at 700 ° C, connected by lead joints, put into insulating glass, consisting of two safety glass panes.
Coloured glass ceiling in a hotel
Glass panels,designed by E.Münch, Wiesbaden, Germany, executed in air-brush painting with up to six coloured layers per panel,all colours fired at 600° C, on site installation.
